starting all over again it seems...finally moved into my apt in ny...will get tons of exercise since i'm on the 4th fl of a walk-up bldg (no elevator)...laundry days are especially fun ;) lol...anyway, that's the news for now...will update again soon! (i hope)
There's nothing wrong with revising your goals! I've got mine at 150 pounds, because even though that may be a bit high for me, I want to just stop and re-assess. For one thing, with the issue that I am not young and my skin may not shrink down as much as I could wish, I may find I am happy there. Or I may want to simply work at gaining muscle as opposed to losing more weight. Or I may find that I still want to go further down. I just can't know until I am much, much closer to end goal than I am now. So my shorter range goal that I hope to nail this year is getting below the 200 pound mark. At which point I may take a little maintenance break for a month or so.
You are lucky if you can pack on muscle easily, that's only going to help! And yes, you may well be happy with your physique at a higher weight than you originally thought!
So, I decided to revise my weight loss goal as well. I know that I will eventually want to get smaller than the weight I changed it to but, I think setting my first main goal HIGHER will be beneficial to me. Plus, there's the fact that I pack on muscle faster than Ah-nold, so I may end up very happy w/my physique at a much higher weight than originally thought/desired. So, we'll see what happens. :)
Right, so I weighed myself this morning and have posted my gain...it sucks, but so far it's only spurring me on...I actually made something HEALTHY to eat today (and am quite proud of myself for doing so)...so, yeah...slowly but surely, all that weight will come right off again! ;) wish me luck!
ha! Actually, Richard, it's just that I haven't weighed myself in forever. I'm sure I've gained weight...will weigh myself tomorrow to see update accordingly. I plan on starting a fast on Sunday or Monday and will try to do it for 14 days. From that point, I will continue w/"clean" (i.e., nutrient dense/healthy) eating and see where it takes me. Need to get back on the exercise bandwagon. Things are looking up for me, so I think I'll be able to do it soon!! Thanks everyone for the encouraging words...means a lot to me. :)
If you haven't already, write down your goals and look at them daily. Keep thinking about the positives of eating healthy and how much better you feel. It's easy to slip back into old habits and probably always will be. The thing that I find helps is if you have a slip, just get up the next day and start plugging away at eating healthier. Exercise too.
Make a commitment to yourself... even if it's a day at a time or an hour at a time. There are plenty of times I don't want to exercise. But mostly, I just grit my teeth and get it done somehow anyway. And I feel better once I have!
you can get through this lilly. have you written down your goals? thought about why you are eating? try writing in a journal or reaching out as much as possible. remember you are worth it.
still can't figure out how to bust thru this funk that I'm in...can't even LOOK at the scale, let alone get on it...haven't really exercised since last week...ungood...ungood! :(
having very bad issues again w/feeling like an idiot, wanting to reach out, but feeling as though would be burdening others...so not very happy...having very bad day/week/month - today alone have consumed: 2 sm sesame seed buns w/whataburger ketchup (which is laced w/crack, i swear); 4 mini reese's cups, 4 cinnamon flavoured spice drops, and abt 1 c of "smoked cheddar" popcorn...oh, and a few sips of very flat Barq's...let's hope i don't gain too much from all this...
My thighs were apparently planning a revolt overnight, based upon the torture and torment that I put them through yesterday. Because today, they are barely functioning...talk about revenge! haha...weight went down a notch...I think I'm gaining muscle right now from the weight lifting I've been doing. Yes, I know, I haven't been logging it, but trust me...my arms and legs can attest to it! ;)
hey lilly, im doing well thanks... hope all is good with you..i had a bad cold so i wasnt on so much, but im still trying 2 stay on track....(one day at a time) have a great day!
Well, my weight went up a bit, but I'm totally blaming that on my monthly bill coming in. :P Oh, and the fact that I've been snacking up a storm and haven't seriously exercised in over a week! Yeah, THAT had nothing to do w/it...ha! Anyway, finally got in a good workout today...plan on doing a lot of walking, too. I'm sure the weight will drop back off in a few days.
so, i broke down got the Body For Life book...gonna start that whole business on monday (the 7th). also ordered that Turbo Jam dvd set...we'll see how THAT goes ;) hehe...weight still coming down, slowly but surely...all is right in the world :P
my legs...my legs!! oy, but they hurt...lol...i think it was all those squats yesterday :P anyway, the scale is finally moving back down again!! yay!!! *dances around like kermit* ;) gonna take a break today only do my core workout...oooh! and i finally ordered that Turbo Jam dvd set...can't wait to try THAT! :) so, anyway...this month's results are looking better better! let's see if i can resist bday cake on saturday...hehehe
